**Primary Duties and Responsibilities:**

The incumbent is to present for work in a timely manner, groomed professionally, and perform their job function in accordance with all Logan Memorial standards of performance, policies and procedures. Each employee is responsible for upholding the Logan Memorial Values, namely: respect for every individual, delivery of quality service, constant pursuit of excellence and commitment to integrity. In addition, each employee is responsible to abide by and uphold the Logan Memorial Hospital Standards of Performance.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must be able to read and write legibly. Must be able to perform simple arithmetic as in reducing a recipe or running the cash register.

* Must be able to follow written or oral direction.

* Requires on-the-job training in food preparation, cooking and estimation of quantities of food needed.

* Good interpersonal skills are required in order to communicate with patients, visitors, employees and doctorsin a kind and respectful manner.

* Must show initiative in food production.

* Prefer High school diploma or GED.

* Prefer at least one year previous experience as cook in commercial business or large quantity situation is preferred
