Job Summary:
In conjunction with Controller, coordinates and maintains the daily operations of the Accounting Department. Responsible for accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with Medlink policies and procedures; manages the accurate accounting and maintenance of the General Ledger according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Completes monthly/yearly financial statements and reports to be presented to Controller; compiles various statistical data in reporting form. Strives to ensure that all accounting departmental reporting deadlines and goals are met within required timeframes. Assists Controller with daily oversight of the Materials Management, Patient Accounting Departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Functions & Reporting:
- Processing invoices for payments accurately and within expected time periods
- Process accounts payable checks for signature and disbursement
- Perform reconciliations on vendor accounts.
- Performs monthly close of accounts payable.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance.
Experience: Five (5) + years of Leadership experience in all aspects of accounting to include, Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Ledger & Accounts Receivable. Materials Management/Purchasing. Healthcare related experience preferred.
Skills: Computer skills, including all Microsoft Office software. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience using Excel and other accounting software. Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills a must. Multi-tasking skills preferred.
Knowledge: Proficient in Accounting principles. General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Accounts Receivable.
Abilities: Ability to coordinate and prioritize activities. Displays responsibility to confidentiality of financial information. Have excellent grammar and communication skills. Must display accuracy and strong analytical abilities; meticulous to detail. Must display strong organizational skills and be of the self-motivating character.
