Progress Printing Company is seeking candidates to fill first/second/third shift vacancies.
We are always looking for experienced print salespeople. Also, we are looking for mechanically-inclined machine operators to work in our pressroom and bindery.
Progress Printing Company is a privately held, family-owned company, employing 100 teammates in Lynchburg, Virginia. We are a full-service catalog and publication printer, offering a la carte' print services.
We operate Muller Martini perfect binders and saddle binders. Ideal candidates are responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of the binding machines. Additionally, candidates should have the ability to direct a crew, mentor and teach perfect/saddle binder skills, and work as a team. Must possess a willingness to serve a cross-functional role throughout the production area as needed.
We have a Manroland Lithoman 4 color web press, a Manroland Rotoman 5 color web press, and a Manroland Rotoman 4 color web press. Candidates for the web press operator are responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and operation of the press(s), including but not limited to make-ready, reviewing schedule and job tickets, preparing customer viewing, and viewing proofs. Candidates should have the ability to direct a crew, mentor and teach web press skills, and work as a team. Must possess a willingness to serve a cross-functional role throughout the production area as needed.
