JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate for the packaging, shipping and selection of freight carriers for outgoing shipments. In this position it will be necessary to work with Client Service, Sales and Marketing, Materials, and other Doble internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction for quality and on time delivery. This position will also be responsible for incoming freight and delivery to the appropriate Doble end user. Both outgoing and incoming freight will require proper record keeping and the ability to process shipments on NAV ERP operating system. Training is provided.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the selection and inventory tracking of packaging materials for all shipments of new product, Client Service orders, Repair business, Trade Show Exhibits, etc.

Responsible for making arrangements for method of shipment and selection of freight companies that enhance on time delivery and cost savings objectives.

Responsible for the transacting of shipment data on the NAV ERP operating system.

Responsible for the quick turn of large volumes of shipments.

Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications

Related duties as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years of relevant work experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of MS Office.

Ability to read and write in the English language.

Ability to learn how to operate a computer-based software program.

Ability to mathematically differentiate / compare freight costs among various carriers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Dead lift up to 80 pounds between two people. Pull test equipment out of box and drop on floor.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.

Hourly Pay Range Minimum $17.54 Midpoint $21.93
