Business Development Associate


Job Details

Lion Equity Partners, a Denver-based investment firm, is seeking to add a Business Development Associate. This position will report directly to the Head of Business Development and will be responsible for prospecting and maintaining relationships with key decision makers and identifying new investment opportunities for the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, establish, maintain and document relationships with corporate executives, investment bankers, and other industry professionals through strategic outbound outreach, which might include cold calling, marketing campaigns, travel campaigns and industry conferences
  • Originate and evaluate potential investment opportunities for the firm
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to develop and execute marketing campaigns and collateral
  • Build and maintain relationship and investment data in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 0-3 years experience in business development or sales for private equity, investment banking, talent recruitment, professional services, financial services, consulting, investment services, or technology services preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales, production or marketing goals
  • Experience prospecting and managing new relationships, including the use of daily CRM tools (salesforce etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Passion for networking and relationship building
  • Competitive personality, self-starter, exceptional work ethic
  • Comfortable cold calling
  • Willing to travel
