Medical Sales Representative Opportunity:

TalentWell is hiring a Bilingual Medical Sales Representative for our rapidly growing clinical laboratory company with headquarters in Houston, TX. This role will cover the South Texas Territory which includes McAllen, Harlingen, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Kingsville ,and Victoria, TX areas.

This medical company provides mobile phlebotomy/laboratory testing services for long-term care and home care accounts (home health/rounding providers/memory care/skilled nursing/assisted living). Our role is a hybrid, B2B, outside medical sales position supporting Long-Term Care and Home Care accounts.

  • Full-time, permanent role
  • Pay: $60,000-$70,000/year + additional commission plan (Position should expect to hit $20k-$30k/year in commission within the first year if annual sales quota is met)
  • Monthly reimbursement for mileage (37 cents/mile), cellphone ($600/annual reimbursement biweekly) ,and marketing ($1500/month)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday schedule (must be available to support territory/clients after hours and weekends as needed)

  • Position works out in the territory daily driving in/around South Texas including: McAllen, Harlingen, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Kingsville, Victoria, and surrounding areas.


Medical Sales Representative Essential Job Functions:

  • The main responsibility of this role is to generate new sales growth for Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Assisted Living Facilities, and Memory Care Facilities by signing up a minimum of 2 new accounts a month and selling deeper into current accounts. While also maintaining and managing current accounts by providing ongoing support to customers.
  • This position also sells laboratory services to Home Care Accounts (Home Health and Rounding Providers) by identifying and quantifying potential customers.
  • This position reports directly to the Chief Business Development Officer
  • Travels daily around the territory to meet with medical professionals in Home & Long-Term Care accounts (home health/rounding providers/memory care/skilled nursing/assisted living)
  • The majority of your time is spent prospecting new clients by cold calling (minimum of 25 calls/week) and in-person visits, along with hosting and attending networking events
  • Prepares and implements monthly sales planner to achieve sales goals and KPIs
  • Accurately forecast quotas and identify accounts at risk, create an action plan to ensure retention
  • Engage with customers to build strong relationships and ensure a high level of satisfaction, as well as growth
  • Research customer problems and help provide solutions by collaborating with internal teams
  • Educate and train clients on software and protocols
  • Acquire, maintain ,and expand knowledge of the products/services we provide
  • Possess a high level of knowledge of the product/service we provide and the market we are targeting
  • Responsible for obtaining medical records from accounts as needed
  • This is a hybrid role focusing on Home Care and Long-Term Care which includes: Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living, Rounding Providers, LTAC, and Clinics.


Medical Sales Representative Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required for the role
  • 2-3 years of medical sales experience is required (B2B outside sales)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • The ideal candidate will be passionate about the industry, accountable, organized professional who thrives on meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven; Proven track record in sales a plus
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
