Job Details
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Responsible for driving field sales team performance of selling equipment and/or services to existing and potential customers.
- Implements and executes the annual sales goals as defined by the executive team, regularly reviewing sales figures and progress with their team.
- Sets sales targets and quotas for the field sales team.
- Ensures field sales team meets or exceeds sales objectives.
- Establishes techniques to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Holds regular field sales team meetings to share expectations, ideas, and best practices.
- Will take part in business meetings or calls when negotiating larger opportunities.
- Heads onboarding and on-the-job training for new account executives.
Participating in trade exhibitions/conferences.
Have an intimate understanding of the company s products/services and keep current with the latest industry trends and news.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelor s Degree required
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience and demonstrated success in managing a field sales team.Experience selling into the education, state/local government, or healthcare markets is preferred but not required.
- Have extensive experience closing new business.
- Experience selling high-technology equipment.
- Be able to handle high-pressure situations and work in a target-oriented environment.
- Extensive experience working in a CRM like SFDC.
- Experience managing a complex sale process.
- Self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills, in person and in a virtual environment.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Great leadership skills with a coaching mindset
- Self-motivated, data-driven, and proactive approach to managing a sales team.
- Ability to establish and maintain a professional relationship with customers/prospects.
- Excellent phone, in-person, and written communication skills
- Ability to present information in front of a large group.
