Workday Functional Analyst (HCM)

Overview: As a Workday Functional Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in configuring and maintaining Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and related modules to meet the evolving needs of our organization. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, design solutions, and ensure the effective utilization of Workday's capabilities across various functional areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into system requirements, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  2. Configuration and Customization: Utilize your expertise in Core HCM and Advance Compensation to configure Workday modules according to business requirements. Implement and maintain customizations where necessary, ensuring alignment with best practices and system integrity.
  3. Security Management: Design and implement security roles and permissions within Workday to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Conduct regular audits to enforce compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  4. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to validate system configurations, integrations, and customizations. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet functional and technical requirements, resolving any issues promptly.
  5. Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate adoption and proficiency in utilizing Workday functionalities.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about Workday updates, enhancements, and best practices. Proactively identify opportunities to optimize existing processes, enhance system capabilities, and drive business value through the effective use of Workday.

Skills Required:

  1. Core HCM: Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Workday Core HCM modules, including but not limited to employee data management, organization structures, and workforce planning.
  2. Core and Advanced Compensation: Experience in configuring compensation structures, incentive plans, and bonus programs within Workday. Ability to design and implement complex compensation frameworks to support business objectives.
  3. Security: Strong understanding of Workday security concepts and experience in designing and implementing security roles, permissions, and data access controls.

Highly Desired Skills:

  1. Benefits: Knowledge of Workday Benefits module, including benefit plan setup, enrollment processes, and eligibility rules.
  2. Recruiting: Familiarity with Workday Recruiting module, including requisition management, candidate sourcing, and applicant tracking.
  3. Learning: Experience in configuring Workday Learning module to manage training programs, certifications, and skill development initiatives.
  4. Time and Absence: Proficiency in configuring Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management modules to support time-off policies, accruals, and absence tracking.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Workday HCM certification(s) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
