PrideNow is hiring a 2nd Shift Sanitation Supervisor for a manufacturer and distributor within the food and beverage industry in Secaucus, NJ. This person will provide support to our maintenance team and be responsible for the overall maintenance and inventory of parts and equipment, as assigned by the Plant Engineer or Head Mechanic.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and train assigned staff, providing job-related training to ensure food safety and operational success.
- Continuously evaluate sanitation effectiveness and propose improvements to enhance cleanliness while minimizing costs.
- Update sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP) and recommend adjustments to schedules and practices to the Sanitation Manager for review.
- Implement corrective actions for sanitation violations identified in internal inspections and perform a monthly inventory of sanitation supplies.
- Monitor and manage pest control, conduct ATP swabs and allergen testing on equipment, and ensure compliance with BRC or other GFSI schemes.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding work schedules and expectations and conduct safety, sanitation, and GMP compliance inspections.
- Supervise the 2nd shift cleaning crew and promote safety in the workplace through enforcement of safety programs and regulatory compliance.
- Perform daily LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures and provide training to affected employees, as necessary.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or 2 to 5 years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills. Knowledge of HACCP, AIB, SQF or BRCGS standards, chemical handling, and environmental testing preferred.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, sensitive to handling confidential information, and self-driven.
- Must be capable of effectively managing multiple tasks.
- Adequate command of both English and Spanish language required.
