A heavy industrial manufacturing company is currently seeking an HSE Specialist to be based out of their facility near Reedsburg WI.

Working under the direction of the EHS Manager, the HSE Specialist will be responsible for driving world class EHS performance at the site, overseeing EHS program compliance, driving improved performance, assisting with audits, and developing action plans.

The Role:

• Assist with maintaining and implementing EHS programs that ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations.
• Assist with and maintain all required environmental permits including hazardous and universal waste.
• Develop and implement procedures to reduce safety/ environmental risks and to address emergency situations.
• Attend training sessions, meetings, and seminars to maintain proficiency in EHS areas.
• Develop and provide EHS related training programs to ensure employee s knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations and requirements.
• Manage ISO14001 Management System.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor s degree in Safety or Environmental Sciences is required.
• 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Proficient report writing, documentation and record keeping.
• Knowledge or training in Hazardous Waste Management. First Aid, ISO 14001, OSHA regulations a huge plus.
