Essential Functions:

  • This is a full time 12 month position and holidays are subject to negotiated school calendar. Schedule and vacation determined by supervisor.
  • Ensure the School operates in a consistently organized manner everyday and provides clerical and administrative support and utilize Microsoft Office and vended software to streamline day to day functions for the school
  • Responsible for coordinating and attending student recruitment events and activities to meet enrollment targets
  • Demonstrates compassion and the ability to make connections with students and families through cultural competency and ability to relate to individuals with various ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds and socio-economic status and backgrounds in a non-judgmental, supportive manner
  • Communicate professionally and with the highest level of customer service with all visitors, families, incoming calls, route and take messages, respond to caller questions, provide information when possible
  • Act as a liaison between the community, the school and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide services and record keeping for students and staff, including filing, typing, editing and mail services including assist with the enrollment, transfer, discharge, and readmission process for students and the preparation of related records and files as related to the Education Management Information System (EMIS)
  • Coordinate enrollment and withdraw of students according to district, state and federal protocols, attending on and off site training and recruitment events as needed
  • Coordinate and distribution of reports, information and communications to appropriate individuals
  • Maintain student and staff confidentiality in all circumstances
  • Maintain student attendance including sign ins, sign outs, software entry, parent calls and all associated records and communications
  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision and manage the demands of the main office under pressure
  • Maintains professional appearance and manner at all times including dress, verbal and body language
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate maintenance of school equipment when necessary
  • May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes, including master schedule and event calendars; cross reference with activity timelines and facility availability
  • Work as part of a team to ensure optimal school operation and displays initiative, creativity, sound judgement and the ability to multitask and complete duties with frequent interruptions
  • Organize and maintain food service and related programs: including NSLP program requirements, record keeping, kitchen sanitation, inventory control, distribution of meals and all related training and duties as needed
  • Assisting in housekeeping duties as needed
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance and participates at staff meetings and required professional development sessions
  • In times of need, employee may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor.


Performance/Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed with Children of various ages. It involves extensive bending, stooping, lifting of children (Various sizes and weights), standing, walking, and cleaning of equipment, play and eating areas.
  • English writing, reading, and speaking skills required
  • Exceptional phone presence necessary
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality required


Qualifications:

  • Minimum educational level is a High School Diploma or GED, 18 years of age and a valid Ohio driver's license.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Education Management Information System(EMIS), Charter School Reporting and Data Entry experience a plus.
  • Ohio and FBI criminal background check required and must pass the minimum requirements per the State Department of Education.

Applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process upon receipt of an offer of employment. We require and cover the cost of a fingerprint background screening, physical, Tuberculosis test, and drug screen after an employment offer is made.
