Position Summary

Minnkota Power is seeking qualified applicants for a Procurement Assistant I located at our Grand Forks, ND headquarters. The Procurement Assistant I assists in the daily operations of the Procurement Department. The position is responsible for the preparation of purchasing documents, maintaining the filing system, providing contract support and other procurement duties.

The pay range for this position begins at $20.80 per hour. Appropriate pay will be determined based on a candidate's skills, education, and previous relevant experience.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assists in the daily operations of our procurement department
  • Prepares and processes requisitions and purchasing documents
  • Maintains the department records and filing system
  • Provides support for contract preparation and contract files
  • Verifies and processes invoices
  • Coordinates returns and repairs of material and samples of material
  • Enters and updates vendor information
  • Other miscellaneous duties to support the buyers and contractor administrators


Minimum Qualifications

Education and Training

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field


Experience

Preferred:

  • 2 or more years of experience in an administrative or clerical position
