Animal Care of Davis County is currently hiring for a full-time Lead Shelter Technician in Fruit Heights, Utah. This position provides general oversight of the employees responsible for day-to-day operations of the shelter. Follow us on Social Media
Day to Day Duties
* Provides general oversight of shelter employees.
* Works with and around all types of animals and animal matter in enclosed areas.
* Performs kenneling of dogs and cats delivered to the shelter, provides food and water for animals.
* Ensures cleanliness of the shelter is maintained, cleans animal cages, kennels, traps and transport carriers, and assists in daily routine cleaning.
* Meets and assists visitors who come to the shelter.
* Creates and maintains shelter records on computer systems.
Pay Range and Benefits:
$16.65 - $21.15/hr. In addition to competitive pay, we offer the following benefits:

Requirements
High school graduation (or equivalent) plus two (2) years of progressively responsible
experience as a Shelter Technician; an acceptable combination of related education and
experience may be considered.
This position requires working shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must have, or obtain within six (6) months of hire date, a valid euthanasia certification including completion of a euthanasia training program.
