Channel Sales Manager


Job Details

Christensen Arms is seeking a talented and experienced Channel Sales Manager to join our team. The Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for their respective market, building strong relationships with partners, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a dynamic leader who can build strong relationships, provide strategic direction, and ensure that sales targets are met and exceeded. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the firearms industry, a proven track record in sales leadership, and experience working with inside sales teams, independent rep groups, and in big box retailers.


Key Responsibilities:


Implement Channel Sales Strategy:

  • Define and implement channel sales strategies that align with the Christensen Arm s objectives to expand market reach and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify and prioritize target markets, industries, and partners to maximize sales opportunities.

Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, serving as the primary point of contact for partner inquiries, support, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop joint business plans, marketing campaigns, and sales initiatives.

Sales Enablement:

  • Provide partners with the necessary sales tools, resources, and training to effectively sell and promote our products/services.
  • Conduct regular sales training sessions and product demonstrations for partners and their sales teams.

Market Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in your respective channel and market.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Marketing, Product, and Inside Sales teams to ensure a cohesive sales approach.
  • Plan promotional events in collaboration with the Marketing team to cover all physical and digital avenues of promotion.
  • Communicate with the Inside Sales Team to ensure timely processing of orders, address account inquiries, and ensure all account data within the channel is accurate.

Reporting:

  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to the company leadership.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of all sales activities in the CRM system.

Participation:

  • Represent Christensen Arms at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Organize and participate in promotional events and product launches.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of the firearms industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth through channel partners.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and motivate partners.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently as needed.
