GalaxyCon is a festival of fandom that celebrates comic books, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, cosplay, and more. GalaxyCon is more than a comic-con, it s a galaxy of fun!


The E-Commerce Director at GalaxyCon will spearhead our online sales strategy and operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient e-commerce experience. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our online merchandise sales, optimizing our e-commerce platforms, and enhancing customer satisfaction


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the management and growth of GalaxyCon's online retail business of autographed celebrity memorabilia, collectibles, branded merchandise, and licensed products.
  • Manage a team of at least six retail and e-commerce associates, with an eye towards exponential growth.
  • Oversee the accurate listing of all products on the company s website and eBay, including product descriptions, images, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Develop and implement strategies for picking, packing, and shipping orders to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the company s inventory by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory audits, and maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse.
  • Travel to GalaxyCon events to assist the in-person merchandise operations, including sales during convention hours and the setup and breakdown of merchandise displays.
  • Lead the e-commerce team, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of customer inquiries and issues via phone calls and emails, and providing product recommendations.
  • Implement marketing strategies to drive traffic and sales to the company s online store.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for growth, setting short-term and long-term goals.
  • Improve and manage fulfillment supply chain operations, ensuring scalability and growth.
  • Work in tandem with warehouse/operations on inventory management and shipping.
  • Work with President and Senior Management on acquiring brand licenses for the creation of unique collectible memorabilia.
  • Other job duties as assigned


Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in retail management, product management, purchasing, and e-commerce.
  • Extensive experience in e-commerce, including managing online sales platforms and fulfillment operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful e-commerce strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities
  • A passion for comic books, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, cosplay, and more
  • A willingness and ability to travel to GalaxyCon events, which may require working on weekends and holidays
