Staff Attorney (Regulatory)


Job Details

Our customer, an Am law 100 firm, is looking for a Staff Attorney. This s a full-time contractual role for 6-12 months with the potential to extend. They would prefer someone in Denver, but any Westcoast will also work.


Summary

A Staff Attorney who works with the State Medical Device Manufacturer and Distributor Licensing function within the Global Regulatory Practice will provide support to lawyers during the entire state licensing submission process from the initial information-gathering stage through the final submission and review by the state regulatory agency, archiving licensure material and documentation, and tracking license renewal dates. Subject to the supervision of the attorney(s) responsible for the matter, paralegals may assist in such tasks as: correspondence with state agencies, submission assembly, completing applications for review, performing project management tasks, assisting with the creation of tools and resources, performing maintenance and updates on tools and resources; assisting with the development of marketing collateral; and performing regulatory research.


Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple active legal matters.
  • Coordinate document retrieval, review, organization, and production.
  • Maintain Agency correspondence files.
  • Maintain database of all pending government agency submissions.
  • Correspond with clients, counsel, government agency personnel, and/or vendors.
  • Perform research in government agency databases.
  • Populate applications based on company provided information.
  • Meet minimum 1,650 hour annual billable requirement.


Required Skills

  • JD degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative/regulatory experience.
  • Large law firm experience preferred.
  • Experience working with regulations and regulatory bodies preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft software products.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe and/or Nuance preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with or without direct supervision, and coordinate multiple projects.
