Azimuth Corporation is seeking a talented Photogrammetrist to join our Springfield, VA office team to provide on-site support to a government customer. The ideal candidate will leverage new sources of data and develop novel analytic techniques that deliver a geospatial dimension to multi-INT analytics, to address emerging threats and mission domains.

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide accurate, timely, reliable, and scalable methods for data exploitation, integration, and analysis.

Support the specific technology areas of automatic target recognition (ATR), spectral signatures, geo-positioning, tracking, adversarial activity, counter proliferation, information assurance, workflow effectiveness, temporal modeling, event prediction, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML)

Be a Subject Matter Expert on the Ground Truth Line of Effort.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 13 years of experience and an MA/MS degree. OR a BA/BS degree and 15 years of experience within a discipline relevant to the work associated with the position
  • Degree in Photogrammetry, Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Expertise in photogrammetry as applied to remote sensing and image registration
  • Expertise with optical sensor Line of Sight models for complex systems, including advanced non-axisymmetric systems and those with movable optical elements, and inclusion of numerical models.
  • Expert knowledge of geometric calibration, including stellar calibration, simulation of sensor geolocation accuracy and robust error propagation.
  • Familiarity with photogrammetric and related standards and with GEOINT tools and products such as Community Sensor Models, Measurement Support Program and Digital Point Positioning Data Base
  • Coordinate the collection of various missile systems.
  • Lead Ground Truth by coordinating the collection of various targets related data products across various government agencies. Coordinates with multiple program offices and works to help plan and facilitate access and coordination to ensure maximum chance of collect.
  • Coordinate the utilization of the signatures from the laboratory programs to ensure it is available to the community.
  • Work to ensure that laboratory signature collection is appropriately utilized by production flights for analysis. This includes a basis of several hundred spectral signatures, from several different materials in over 10 different test events.
  • Coordinate the deployment, collection, and analysis of the state-of-the-art Electro-Optical sensor. This newly developed sensor provides unique collection capabilities.
  • Work with DOE & FFRDC to conduct studies on data gathered from this sensor in coordination with other IC assets.
  • Should be familiar with SIGINT & MASINT for coordination.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and ability to work independently and as a team
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance; CI Polygraph may be required.


Physical Requirements / Travel

Must be able to work in an office environment at a desk and computer.

May travel ~10% to conferences, program reviews, industry meetings, or other collaborative events. Most or all travel would be CONUS.
