We are currently working with a fast growing, locally owned Kansas City company to find a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to help streamline and optimize their business.

Responsibilities:

  • Checking and tracking inventory, utilizing both manual methods and the upcoming NetSuite system.
  • Tracking product movement and overseeing purchasing processes.
  • Obtaining bids on containers and managing the logistics of shipments domestic and internationally.
  • Researching outdated products and facilitating their removal from warehouses.
  • Identifying slow-moving stock and coordinating its transfer.
  • Collaborating closely with warehouse managers and inventory crews, both locally and overseas.
  • Spending 20 hours per week focused on purchasing and 20 hours per week on inventory management tasks.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in purchasing and/or inventory management.
  • Experience with NetSuite system, a plus!
  • Self-motivated and eager to advance their career.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Team player who is ready to contribute to various departments.
  • Natural leadership abilities with a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and lift somewhat large and heavy items.
