Are you mechanically and electrically inclined? Do you enjoy providing top-notch customer service? We're hiring for a brand new facility opening in Indianapolis and are looking for talented individuals to join our client's team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing cutters. You'll work closely with customers to ensure they receive exceptional service while collaborating with an in-house team to field support calls and conduct depot service on cutters, handling both electrical and mechanical repairs. The equipment you'll work on incorporates a variety of components, including electrical, computer, and mechanical elements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide frontline phone support for cutter installations, workflow integration, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain cutters.
- Maintain quality control and certification of loaner inventory upon return.
- Conduct repairs on inoperable equipment through in-house Depot Maintenance.
- Perform tests and calibrations to track results and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Repair cutter components, addressing both electrical and mechanical issues.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate machinery and power tools, with a solid understanding of various electrical requirements.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Knowledge of graphic programs such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Flexi Sign, and Onyx is preferred.
- An accredited high school diploma or GED, with 2-4 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience or technical school certification.
- Previous experience as a technician, technician apprentice, or in a related role is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10-20%.
