Capua Law Firm seeks a dynamic paralegal to join our growing team:

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced setting and strive for excellence in both work product and client relationship building. The ideal candidate will be able to jump right into complex cases and move from case to case - with minimal training.

Capua Law takes a team approach which means that every member of the team is expected to take on tasks that may not be specific to their job description. This may include things such as running errands for the firm, answering phones, and other tasks necessary to keep the firm running smoothly. Must be able to work well both in a group and independently.

Prior experience with complex litigation, particularly drafting for litigation, is invaluable. Should be skilled in developing case filings, motions, and indexing systems.

Must be willing to work beyond traditional office hours when needed, including being responsive to client calls and emails after hours.

This is not a remote position. Full-time, onsite, is required. Occasional overtime mornings/evenings/weekends is to be expected.

Paralegal certification preferred but not required. Minimum 5 years applicable experience. Must be skilled in a variety of applicable computer programs and databases, including but not limited to:Clio, 365 Outlook, Slack, Goldfynch, Excel, Word, etc.

Other necessary skills include:

Coordinating all aspects of case preparation including drafting pertinent documents.

Assist attorneys by reading, researching, reviewing, verifying, and routing correspondence, reports, and legal documents; drafting and sending letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information for client files.

Maintain firm calendar; monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements; monitoring evidence-gathering; anticipating changes in litigation.

Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.

Welcome guests and clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering and directing client inquiries.

Maintain a calm and professional demeanor.

Provide general administrative support.
