Responsibilities:

Trading support

  • 1-2 years experience in a similar role, ideally from a hedge fund manager or a financial institution
  • Good product knowledge and day-to-day processing of interest rate swaps and bonds is essential
  • Futures and FX knowledge is useful
  • Knowledge of the market risk of trades and P&L is a plus


Tasks

  • Book trades into the trade capture systems and manage the trade matching and clearing processes. MarkitWire skillset a must
  • Assist sales and execution teams with trade booking as required
  • Oversee day-to-day trade processing, matching, clearing, and sending confirmations
  • Manage and resolve exceptions, fails and settlement issues
  • Carry out checks and controls, intraday and EOD. Communicate EOD status to the group
  • Liaise with Caventor teams, internal BGC teams, clients, banks and service providers as required
  • Support sales and execution teams as required with requests and queries
  • Carry out project and development tasks as required
  • Assist with the global counterparty onboarding process
  • Oversee progress internally within BGC and with clients/banks. Chase as required
  • Update the shared status documents for internal Caventor use



Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel & VBA a major plus not a requirement though
  • High level of attention to detail and completer / finisher mentality
  • High level of multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Needs to be a self-starter and able to work independently, although the person will be part of the NY team and broader global Post-Trade team


Educational Qualifications:


  • Bachelor s Degree required


Salary: $90,000 - $110,000


The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
