The Mother Baby Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to mother baby patients and assuming teaching and leadership responsibilities. They independently implement and evaluate nursing care using standards of care and policies and procedures. The Nurse participates in unit committee and quality improvement activities.
The Registered Nurse should hold a license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida. They should be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and have intermediate computer knowledge. A minimum of one year of nursing experience is preferred for this position.
The Nurse must be able to evaluate patient needs, coordinate patient/family teaching, and utilize critical thinking skills throughout patient care. They should be able to effectively supervise an assigned team and guide them through required tasks in a timely manner.
