Job Description Laborer - Salt Wash - ( 22000008 ) **Description**

**Summary:** The role will support all areas of the site based on projects and needs related to Compass Minerals.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities -** include but are not limited to the following: *(Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.)*
* Ensure job site is free from debris and other hazards using hand and/or machinery tools.
* Sweeping and cleanup of debris and material from roads, as well as snow and ice removal.
* The operation of power tools and equipment, chain saws, air compressor, etc. when required is also necessary.
* Able and willing to cover additional positions throughout Compass Minerals, such as Seasonal Salt Wash, Packaging Lines, Bagging, etc.
* Supporting and sustaining the plant goals in safety, quality, and environmental improvement as required.
* General labor related to work.
* Supporting coverage of other tasks as deemed appropriate by the site leadership
**Deliverables -**
* Responsible for keeping site and grounds at plant clean and neat
* Able to perform heavy manual labor
* Knowledge of hand tools, power tolls and machines
* Able and willing to work rotating shifts
* Ability to operate company owned vehicles
* Ability and willingness to adapt to working conditions
* Safe and efficient operation of duties when covering a position and flexibility of schedules to switch shift on short notice.
* Maintains grounds clean and free of garbage and unsightly material
* Current & legacy spills clean up support
* Improved site appearance via painting and grounds improvements
**Qualifications**
**Qualifications:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required and should be considered the minimum standard. **Education and Experience**: A high school diploma or equivalency is required. Two or more years of experience as a laborer. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively. Must pay attention to detail and perform tasks with a high level of quality. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools.
**Computer Skills:** No computer skills are required but will be considered a plus.
