Job Details

Summary of Duties:

This position includes required travel to attend face-to-face meetings (within 100-mile radius) to Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Home Health Agencies, and Psychiatrist. Responsible for supporting the planning and execution of marketing and advertising activities for BHU and when appropriate Swing Bed and Medical Detox.

Essential Functions:

* Clarifying options to patients on their choice for hospitals, doctors and treatment.

* Getting information for patients and asking specific questions.

* Accompanying patients to tests, procedures, and appointments.

* Establish relationship with hospitals and rehabilitation centers.

* Update patient files and appointment information accurately.

* Communicate information and important details to other medical care staff.

* Designing marketing strategies assist with organizing promotional events, and creating digital content to create awareness for BHU and other services as needed.

Skills Abilities:

* Understand and complies with hospital specific policies and procedures.

* Demonstrates a positive attitude and effort to improve the work environment.

* Demonstrates pride in his/ her work and provides courteous service to all individuals.

* Manages his/ her time and other available resources to the best advantage of the hospital.

* Functions with an aware and application of safety issues as established at the hospital and behavioral health program.

* Understands medical terminology, physician documentation, basic anatomy and coding process.

* The individual shall be able to locate and identify the appropriate remedy to problems using established procedures and protocols.

* This individual shall be able to work well in a structured team environment with a variety of disciplines and help maintain cohesion between team members.

* This individual shall be able to utilize best practice and procedures to assist in the care and wellbeing of patients served, and address clinical and ethical dilemmas in a professional and competent manner.

Working Conditions:

* Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.

* Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.

* Mileage or vehicle will be provided

Physical Demands:

* Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 12 hours or longer per day.

* The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements:

* BLS / NCI Certification within 90 days of employment, renewed bi-annually

* GED, High School Diploma or relevant training/experience.

Preferred Requirements:

* Psychiatric experience preferred, but not required
