Description

Job Summary

Maintain and improve Inventory Control processes. Execute the daily activities of Inventory Control of all goods with-in the warehouse and material storage areas with emphasis on scrap processes. Responsible for all plant scrap transactions.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventories of raw materials, work in-progress, auditing and finished goods.
  • Work closely with Management and Cost Accounting in the creation of cycle counts
  • Initiate, conduct and reconcile cycle counts.
  • Adhere to cycle count schedule
  • Lead all research into inventory issues and discrepancies; reconcile counts. Communicate issues in a timely manner.
  • Present root cause findings on Inventory discrepancies to Materials and Finance as required.
  • Perform transactions in E1 to ensure inventory is accurately reflected based on cycle count results.
  • Track overall cycle count performance by Value Stream
  • Ensure optimal utilization of warehouse spaces.
  • Daily audit of scrap logs and transactions.
  • Process all scrap transactions in ERP system.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by the Materials Manager.
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Graduate/GED.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in Inventory Control, in a manufacturing / warehousing environment.
Job Specifications/Skills:
  • Licensed or ability to become licensed for operation of forklift (Material Handling Equipment) (Required)
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to deal with competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Effective written, oral, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and JD Edwards (E1) or similar ERP systems; computerized warehouse management experience a plus
  • Team cooperation - works with Management and cross functional disciplines to continuously improve Inventory Control processes and practices within all operational areas
  • Physical ability to lift, move and/or carry minimum of 50 lbs.
