**Job Description**
A Painter is responsible for completing the following duties:
* Preparing metal for painting by sanding spatter and rust and wiping down steel to remove oils and cutting fluids
* Applying paint to completed production jobs and sub-assemblies.
* Mixing paint properly
* Using correct paint equipment settings and adjustments
* Performing daily maintenance routines on paint equipment
* Identifying and masking areas that are not to be painted
* Utilizing proper paint application techniques
* Inspecting paint jobs for quality problems such as runs and missed areas
* Maintaining paint both in clean working order
* Completing necessary paperwork
* Other duties as assigned
