Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages the monthly accounting close and reporting process, working to continuously improve data quality, integrity and time to close
  • Responsible for supporting the accurate and timely financial reporting, including internal reporting (Flash Reports, Monthly Financial Package, etc.) and external reporting (annual financial statements and quarterly reporting to the Bank Group), and compliance certificates to banks, lenders, sponsors, and the like
  • Ensures all financial reporting and accounting policies are in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles, and through consultation with the Director of Cost Accounting Compliance, government cost accounting regulations (CAS compliance)
  • Responsible for directing and supervising general accounting staff, as well as payroll, estimating and cost accounting
  • Responsible for maintaining SAP, our formal book of record, and the interface to OneStream, the company's financial reporting system
  • Handles complex accounting transactions such as revenue recognition, inventory costing/valuation, M&A, business combinations, and restructuring, Goodwill and Intangible Asset Accounting in consultation with the CFO
  • Works with CFO coordinating and managing all external audits
  • Works with CFO to ensure all tax filings occur on a timely basis
  • Recommends, reviews and provides input for the formulation of or changes to the Corporate Policies and Procedures, and the Delegation Of Authority


Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:

  • Min Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, MBA, a plus - CPA required
  • 10-15 years related accounting experience. Manager experience required
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles/policies and GAAP and proficient knowledge of ERP systems
  • SAP and OneStream Financial Management experience, a plus
  • Process improvement skills to continuously work to improve the cycle time and quality of accounting and financial information relied upon to run the business and meet external reporting requirements
  • Ability to formulate reports/analyses to meet the changing needs of the CFO and to enhance understanding of the Group's operational problems
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling
