Duties and Responsibilities: # Ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll Process approved payroll adjustments and maintain appropriate documentation. Calculate and process all wage garnishments. Manages regular preparation of relevant reports, including weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.# Manages preparation of ad-hoc reports as requested timely and in format requested. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax laws. Investigate, validate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data, benefit and payroll information Monitor the payroll email inbox daily to provide timely and accurate responses to employee and customers inquires. Develop and maintains a relationship with the payroll service provider to resolve issues and create system enhancement to produce accurate payrolls. Perform other duties as assigned. # Education/Licensure/Certifications/Qualifications: # Bachelor#s degree in Business or Accounting preferred Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) desired # Knowledge, Skills # Abilities: # 5+ years progressive payroll experience within a corporate payroll department: healthcare setting is a plus Previous experience with Ceridian/Dayforce preferred Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws and compliance Excellent verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of payroll best practices Ability to maintain confidentiality Proficient with Microsoft Office Ability to meet tight deadlines # York Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
