Location: Wallingford, CT - relocation assistance available
Shift: Standard 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with on-call availability 6 weekends per year.
Salary Range: $160,000-$180,000 annually + 10% annual bonus.
Benefits: Full medical insurance package included; 401K company match up to 6% (dollar for dollar) + additional discretionary 401K bonus of 3%; 3 weeks vacation + 11 holidays annually
Experience Required:
- Prior site management in chemical manufacturing.
- Union experience is crucial.
- Preferably a background in chemical engineering; mechanical or electrical backgrounds with chemical experience may be considered.
- 10 years minimum chemical manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with large-scale reaction processes, significant hazards, and process safety.
- Experience in managing a large site (240 acres) with complex operations, including a full wastewater treatment plant and 10 production lines.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the largest chemical complex in the state, managing 100-110 employees across 2 main production buildings and 30 other buildings.
- Lead the site's aggressive sustainability vision, striving to achieve zero discharge and become a model for environmentally conscious chemical plant operations.
- Collaborate on capital projects, aiming to improve the environmental profile and operational efficiency of the plant.
- Mentor and develop a team of around 6 direct reports and oversee approximately 45 indirect reports.
- Foster a positive, family-like atmosphere while maintaining a good relationship with the union.
