We are now seeking Saw Shop Operators for a well-known area manufacturer that is experiencing tremendous growth in Simpsonville, SC. This company has openings for 1st shift. Prior experience in woodworking is a plus! Job Details:
Work Hours: Monday Friday, 6:00am 2:30pm some overtime may be required
Pay Rate: $16.00
Requirements:
- Detailed oriented
- Task Oriented
- Personable
- Assertive
- Self-motivated
- Ability to be on time at start of shift
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to safely use power tools/drills
- Forklift experience and ability to read drawings is a plus.
Main Responsibilities:
Saw Shop
- Set up and operate power saws to cut wood according to specifications
- Set or adjust, squares and monitors blade condition
- Positions guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure work
- Cut plywood on either a panel saw or table saw
- Read/write and interpret drawing or cutting orders
- Manage the best recovery or yields of lumber and plywood
