Purchasing Manager, F&B, Hotel & Retail Luxury Mega Yacht

The Purchasing Manager for F&B, Hotel & Retail serves as the intermediary among the ship, suppliers, and logistics partners, overseeing procurement processes for Food & Beverage and Hotel supplies. Responsibilities include managing purchase orders, analyzing bids, ensuring product quality and timely delivery, and monitoring supplier performance. Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and a focus on continuous improvement are essential for success in this role.


Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure timely submission of scheduled master orders from the ship.
  • Receive, review, and submit purchase orders (PO), master orders (MO), requests for quotation (RFQs), etc.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and freight forwarders for timely confirmation, invoicing, and delivery of purchase orders.
  • Ensure completeness of orders before shipping and receipt of invoices 24 hours prior to shipping.
  • Perform checks between PO and invoice accuracy before shipping.
  • Provide container shipment details promptly and address discrepancies with Hotel Stores Manager.
  • Analyze, monitor, and negotiate prices for local purchases.
  • Maintain a database of feedback on local supplier performance and product quality.
  • Support last-minute ship requests and maintain updated supplier contact details.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of supply chain processes, efficiency, and cost-conscious planning to support positive financial outcomes.


Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in related Food & Beverage supply chain field
  • C.P.M. Certification preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel/Microsoft and e-mail functionalities
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages
  • Intermediate to advanced negotiations skills
  • Ability to present effectively in front of groups
