KG Workforce Solutions, LLC is currently recruiting for a Certified Medical Biller/Coder for a growing client that provides health care and pharmacy assistance in SC. This position can be worked onsite in Lancaster, SC or remotely for residents of South Carolina that are currently certified with 2+ years of experience. FQHC is a hugh plus!

Job description:

Job Duties

• Collect, post, and manage patient account payments.
• Review claims in EMR and submit claims to insurance.
• Resolve issues with patient billing.
• Review payments from insurance companies.
• Code patient services and enter into the computer.
• Ensure healthcare facilities are reimbursed for all procedures.
• Handle information about patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures to ensure proper coding.
• Follow up to see if a claim is accepted or denied.
• Investigate rejected claims to see why a denial was issued.
• Investigate insurance fraud and report if found.
• Fill in for receptionist and perform Front Office duties for the medical office.
• Procure authorizations and pre-certification for referral procedures.
• Credential providers with insurance companies.

Work Experience

• Two or more years of work experience with CPC
• FQHC knowledge preferred but not required.

Skills / Education

• Proficiency in EMR systems.
• Athena knowledge preferred.
• Current knowledge in ICD-10 codes.
• Medical coding certification in accordance with South Carolina law.
• Knowledge of PECOS system.
• Self-manage.
