Our client, a leader in manufacturing customized Aerospace Training Systems, is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join their innovative robtics team in Southampton, PA.


The Aircrew Training Systems division is at the forefront of designing, manufacturing, installing, and supporting aircrew training systems for the aeromedical community, including spaceflight, military, and civilian aviation worldwide. The department specializes in creating pilot and flight simulation equipment, including motion systems, altitude chambers, and physiological systems.


As a Systems Engineer, you will collaborate closely with sales and engineering teams to determine product specifications, and contribute to mechanical, electrical, and software aspects. Responsibilities include managing system requirements, analyzing system safety and reliability, integrating systems, developing system and subsystem models, executing test procedures, overseeing customer acceptance, providing technical expertise and support to clients, and contributing to technical documentation.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience with a strong grasp of mechanical, electrical, physics, and robotics engineering principles, as well as an understanding of key engineering principles including motion control systems, flight simulation, visual display, flow dynamics, and electricity.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and manage system requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Developed technical documentation, including specifications and design documents.
  • Analyze system safety and reliability.
  • Facilitate system integration.
  • Develop system and subsystem models.
  • Develop and execute test procedures.
  • Oversee the customer acceptance process.
  • Stay abreast of relevant technological developments.
  • Occasional travel to client sites worldwide
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input for product improvement.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and standards


The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a systems engineering role, preferably in robotics, automation, or custom equipment manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, integration, and verification/validation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools and methodologies such as MATLAB, Autodesk Inventor, FEA, and rigid body dynamics
  • Ability to read and understand source code, particularly in C++
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions


Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

Hours: 8am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday

Location: Southampton, PA (On-site)
