Chandler Hall, a non-profit, Quaker facility, provides high-quality care for older adults in Newtown, Bucks County, and offers a wide spectrum of services for individuals at all stages of the aging process including Community Living, Personal Care, Home Hospice, Independent Living, Respite Care, and Skilled Nursing Care. We are currently seeking a caring and compassionate Infection Preventionist.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare-associated infections.
- The IP collaborates with teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and maintain programming per Infection Control best practices, CMS and CDC guidelines, and Chandler Hall policy and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the community s infection prevention program.
- Develop an annual surveillance plan based on the population(s) served, services provided, and analysis of surveillance data. Utilize epidemiologic principles to conduct surveillance and investigations. Utilize PL methodology as a means of enacting change.
- Define the scope of the project and select appropriate PL tools to aid in efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness, and ensure the sustainability of the initiative.
- Participate in Pl committees, teams, and initiatives as indicated. Participate in the development and review of occupational health policies and procedures related to Infection Prevention and Control, including oversight of the TB/Mantoux program.
- Assess the risk of occupational exposure to infectious disease.
- Develop (or assist with) rates and trends of occupational exposures, immunization, and screening programs.
- Develop, assign, and administer training and education for team members relating to occupational health and safety.
This is a full-time, day shift, 7-3:30 PM position offering 40 hours per week. Three days will be as a Charge Nurse and two days will be as an Infection Preventionist.

Education and Experience
- Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania, experience helpful
Certification Requirement
- Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (i.e., CDC preferred) or attainment.
