We are working with $5 Billion global leader in advanced engineering solutions with a location in the Cleveland, Ohio area in need of an Engineering and Maintenance Manager (Director)- this is a senior management role. This is a 1,000 person heavy manufacturing operation and the role will have an Engineering Manager and Maintenance Manger reporting to it along with 7-10 other salaried personnel (area managers and engineers) and 30-40 hourly skilled trades people. This will be a strategic leadership role, but the person will need to have a tactical approach - present in the environment. ****Local candidates please***


Primary Purpose of Job


Under the direction of the Site Director, this position is accountable for supporting and assisting the organization in the organization, planning, implementation and follow through of engineering initiatives. This position provides direction for the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Leads, Maintenance Supervisors, Engineering Leads, Engineers, Maintenance Planners, and Maintenance Technicians.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Manage and set expectations for the Cleveland Operations Maintenance & Engineering teams including the full scope of performance management and compensation.

Manage a multi-discipline engineering organization responsible for providing all mechanical and electrical engineering support for production process and facility requirements throughout Cleveland Operations.

Lead the change from a reactive to proactive maintenance environment. Optimize Cleveland Operations maintenance resources.

Responsible to ensure that preventative and responsive maintenance resources and programs are in place to support a 24x 5 (7) manufacturing operation that covers an asset base of 300+ million and 33 acres of manufacturing and office space.


Minimum of 10 year of heavy maintenance experience with 5 years in a management role over supervisors - large multishift operations

Must come out of heavy manufacturing with a background in preventative / reliability centered maintenance - built programs


Our client offers a base salary in the $140-170K range, 25% bonus, LTI program, 401K w/6% match + additional 3% contribution and a full line of benefit from 1st day of hire.
