Job Title: Personal Injury Litigation Defense Associate Attorney FLSA Classification:

Location: Orlando, FL

Salary: (DOE), bonus potential, Exempt

Hybrid: First 90 onsite; followed by Hybrid with 2 days in office. Subject to change, will be adjusted during trial prep

Schedule: Full-time; Hybrid

Reports to: Managing Shareholder

Litigation Experience: Insurance Defense Associate, Personal Injury



Job Description:


Immediate opening for a strong Personal Injury Litigation Defense Attorney or Of-Counsel with 2-7 years of defense litigation experience. Trial experience a plus but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop and build their practice for long-term success.

Minimum Requirements, Responsibilities, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on personal injury defense cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses.
  • Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and other fact-finding activities.
  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
  • Assigns work to department legal assistant.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.
  • Manage case files, deadlines, and documentation in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on various matters related to personal injury defense litigation.
  • Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedent relevant to personal injury defense



Required Skills:


  • Strong analytical and writing skills;
  • Clear and effective communication skills;
  • Able to work independently and in a collective team environment;
  • Strong work ethic and an ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience using Westlaw for legal research; ATO experience preferred
  • Highly motivated and dedicated to excellent client service.



Education and Experience:


  • Licensed in the state of Florida
  • 2-7 years of applicable defense experience, including litigation



Physical Requirements:


  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


Work Environment:

  • The first 90 days of onboarding/training are required to occur on-site; Subject to change per the Managing Shareholder
  • Currently working a hybrid schedule with two days weekly in office.
  • More in-office time is required during trial preparation.
  • Successful candidates will feel confident about their ability to work effectively and collaboratively, no matter the setting.
