Hybrid: First 90 onsite; followed by Hybrid with 2 days in office. Subject to change, will be adjusted during trial prep
Schedule: Full-time; Hybrid
Reports to: Managing Shareholder

Job Description:
Immediate opening for a strong Personal Injury Litigation Defense Attorney or Of-Counsel with 2-7 years of defense litigation experience. Trial experience a plus but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop and build their practice for long-term success.

Minimum Requirements, Responsibilities, Skills, and Abilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on personal injury defense cases.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses.
- Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and other fact-finding activities.
- Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
- Assigns work to department legal assistant.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.
- Manage case files, deadlines, and documentation in an organized and efficient manner.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on various matters related to personal injury defense litigation.
- Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedent relevant to personal injury defense
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and writing skills;
- Clear and effective communication skills;
- Able to work independently and in a collective team environment;
- Strong work ethic and an ability to meet deadlines
- Experience using Westlaw for legal research; ATO experience preferred
- Highly motivated and dedicated to excellent client service.
Education and Experience:
- Licensed in the state of Florida
- 2-7 years of applicable defense experience, including litigation
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Work Environment:
- The first 90 days of onboarding/training are required to occur on-site; Subject to change per the Managing Shareholder
- Currently working a hybrid schedule with two days weekly in office.
- More in-office time is required during trial preparation.
- Successful candidates will feel confident about their ability to work effectively and collaboratively, no matter the setting.
