New Yosemite is a four-bed short-term crisis stabilization program for youth, from 8 to 17, who are on the autism spectrum. Participants are struggling to be maintained at home and their families are stressed beyond their capacity.

New Yosemite offers crisis intervention, behavior stabilization, assessment, brief treatment, individual and family therapy, and comprehensive discharge planning services, with the goal of reuniting youth with their families. This combination of services, provided up to 90 days, allows for the development of comprehensive treatment and appropriate after-care plans for each youth. In this intensive therapeutic environment, 85% of the youth meet their treatment goals and return to live with their families upon completion of the program.

What You Will Do
The New Yosemite Program Residential Supervisor works with the Residential Manager in monitoring residents within the residence as well as staff assigned to that residence. The Residential Supervisor is also responsible for assisting the Residential Manager with scheduling of staff, crisis intervention, training, interviewing applicants, reference checking, and participating in agency in-service trainings.

Shifts Available
Full Time - Hourly; Mon-Fri/8am-5pm

Salary RangeIn accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $24.65 and $32.15 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

What You Bring to The Table (requirements):

  • B.A. Degree in a social science field or equivalent years' experience working in residential setting with this or a similar population, OR two years' full-time experience in a residential setting or working with the population served. Meet the minimum training and experience requirements of CA's Division of Community Care Licensing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the developmental milestones of children or youth to provide care, treatment and services.
  • Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model as part of intervention strategy for working with participants in crisis who are responding to triggers/stressors and/or demonstrating early indicators of distress.
  • Clean driving record; current CA Driver's License or ability to obtain within 10 days after hire.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and/or competency with electronic clinical documentation systems.

Preferred
  • A. Degree and work experience.
  • Experience with or knowledge of designing, supervising, monitoring, changing, and discontinuing individualized behavioral interventions.
  • One (1) or more years' experience with program target population preferred (Example: intellectually disabled, homeless, teens or young adults, emotionally disturbed)
  • One (1) or more years' experience with program modality (example: school-based, residential, mobile/community-based, assertive community treatment, wraparound, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, triage and organize work.
  • Demonstrated ability in using a strength-based, culturally competent approach to supervision, participant and community service.
  • Experience with relevant evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches).
