Yardman / Loader Operator

Description
Knights Redi-Mix has an immediate opening for a qualified yardman to keep our concrete plant loaded, the yard and bins tidy, and perform routine maintenance on and around the plant.
Perform all job functions in accordance with company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Perform all job functions in accordance with company environmental policies and procedures at all times.
Keep the connex clean and organized.
Keep the yard clean.
Keep the dry-batch plant loaded at all times.
Keep the ramp clean.
Ensure that Trucking drivers dump materials into the proper pits.
Follow General Plant Maintenance sheets.
Load ice into mixer trucks during the summer months as needed.
Remove material from pits once per week for cleaning.
Empty out all outside trash cans and placing trash and empty fiber boxes in the proper receptacles.
Maintain the reclaimer.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 1-year experience safely operating a front-end loader.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
Prior experience in ready-mixed concrete preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to safely lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
Ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, and reach.
Ability to safely climb up and down stairs and/or ladders.
Ability to work primarily outside, with possible exposure to the extremes of hot or cold weather.
