**Job Summary**

The General Manager is responsible for all store operations within their individual location, including the sales, finance, and service departments, along with the building and lot facilities. In this role the General Manager leads and directs all store team members to perform the necessary functions to create and maintain a successful, profitable location while giving our customers a positive experience.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other Duties May be Assigned):**

* Effectively Manage all store operations and personnel to create and maintain a profitable location

* Direct, train, and manage the sales team to enhance sales and maximize the customer experience in a cost effective manner. Work with the customers to identify compensating factors to maximize sales volume.

* Direct, train, and manage the CNAC team to ensure the origination, underwriting, and contract closing processes are followed according to CNAC policies and procedures. Collaborate with the Regional Underwriter on these processes.

* Direct, train, and manage the Service Manager to ensure the service team is efficiently reconditioning vehicles and accurately diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles in a timely manner, while ensuring service processes and policies are followed. Collaborate with the Regional Service Manager on service-related matters.

* P&L Responsibility - effectively analyze and manage for strong store performance and profitability.

* Ensure all activities within the Store enhance the Byrider image and conform to State and Federal law.

* Ensure all existing policies and procedures are complied with and new policies and procedures are developed to further enhance processes or controls.

* Work effectively with the Asset Management Team to ensure proper vehicle inventory levels and mix are maintained at the store

* Work effectively with support departments company-wide to ensure efficient and effective communication.

* Interview, hire, train, coach, and develop store team members to maximize potential and drive personal success.

* Manage and assist with Human Resource functions within the store, including paperwork, documentation, orientations, promotions, performance reviews, corrective action, and terminations

* Direct the staff to maintain the facilities and equipment at the store in good repair and sound working order through a regular maintenance program

* Change Management - Develops workable implementation plans; Communicates changes effectively; Builds commitment and overcomes resistance; Prepares and supports those affected by change; Monitors transition and evaluates results.

* Manage store staffing and scheduling to effectively service the customers while maintaining a positive work/life balance

* Ensures that all store team members adhere to J.D. Byrider company values and is committed to creating a positive store culture.

* Attend and participate in all necessary store and company meetings.

**Qualifications:**

* Requires exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with ability to successfully manage diverse teams within the store.

* Must be customer service oriented and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

* Requires the ability to successfully negotiate business transactions

* Must have experience and a general understanding of P&L statements.

* 5+ years sales in a customer service related industry with 2+ years management experience.

* College degree, preferred

**Requirements**

* Dedicated to building a career in a sales/financial services industry

* Willing to relocate if business needs require

* 50+ hour, 5 day work weeks are typical

* Some travel is required.

* Evenings and Saturdays are required

* Open to relocation
