Role summary:

This person will report directly to the Senior Maintenance Supervisor and will be primarily responsible for identifying, managing, planning, supervising, and scheduling equipment maintenance activities for both production equipment and facilities. In the role of Maintenance Supervisor, you will be joining a world-class Maintenance and Engineering team that is delivering innovative solutions to tough problems.


This position is fully onsite and working from our Lookout Valley Chattanooga office location. Currently, the working hours for this role are typically Monday through Friday 6:30/7 AM to 3/3:30 PM EST. Please note that as our company evolves, working arrangements, locations, and hours may change to meet business needs.



Responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance items
  • Working with the production department in scheduling downtime for preventative maintenance
  • Generating, tracking, and managing budgets
  • Preparing weekly maintenance schedules and allocating work as per forecasted workloads
  • Employing, supervising, and training maintenance personnel as required
  • Coordinating daily cleaning and maintenance activities
  • Overseeing all repairs and ensuring that work is completed on time
  • Maintaining all spare component inventory and equipment and ensuring proper storage
  • Complying with all health and safety regulations and practices on site
  • Maintaining function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by executing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts
  • Conducting follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work
  • Conducting safety inspections as scheduled
  • Other duties as assigned



You are:

  • A graduate with a high school diploma or a G.E.D., or have relevant working experience
  • A professional with 3+ years of equipment, maintenance, and supervisory experience
  • Organized, can prioritize, and are attentive to detail
  • Mechanically and/or electrically inclined
  • Knowledgeable of health and safety regulations and practices
  • Proficient in oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft 365 with special emphasis on Microsoft Excel and digital data entry
  • Able to think critically and troubleshoot
  • Able to develop, schedule, plan, implement, and execute projects
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • A highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative
  • Action-oriented
  • Resourceful when it comes to solving problems
  • Passionate about creating a great culture
  • Confident and able to exercise sound judgment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and changing environments
  • Collaborative
  • Willing to go the extra mile to get the job done and satisfy customers/stakeholders



Extra awesome if you also have:

  • Document writing skills
  • Ability to develop, schedule, plan, implement and execute projects
  • 5+ years of equipment, maintenance, and supervisory experience
  • OSHA 10 or 40 training
  • Familiar with NEC codes/rules
  • Experience/Knowledge of chilled water systems
  • HVAC training and or license
  • Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs
