Seaport Therapeutics is seeking a Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate for a lab-based bioanalysis position with a focus on LC-MS. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking to be a part of a multidisciplinary team and to gain experience in a startup environment. This position will contribute to advancing the pipeline of impactful candidates generated from our novel Glyph prodrug platform.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Designing and executing in vitro experiments, using LC-MS, for the screening of lipid prodrugs to support preclinical discovery
- Processing and analyzing in vivo samples (plasma, lymph fluid, etc.) to generate DMPK data for various prodrugs
- to the development and optimization of LC-MS methods for both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- HPLC and MS instrumentation
- all experiments using an electronic notebook and analyzing data for reports and regular internal presentations
Experience and Skills
- BS (2-4 years of experience) or MS (0-2 years of experience) degree in pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field
- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining LC-MS/MS systems
- with various aspects of bioanalytical method development for LC-MS assays, including sample preparation techniques, chromatographic separation, and MRM method optimization
- attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
