We are looking for anElectrical Craftspersonto undertake preventative maintenance tasks as well as new installations at the Tailings and Water Services Facilities.

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of electrical systems, as well as mechanical integrity of equipment. Perform Installation and maintenance of various size pumps and motors, with other equipment used in the production process.
Reporting to theMaintenance Supervisorand working in a diverse team, you will be:
- Works independently - diagnose problems and recommend solutions.
- Plan & organize jobs to completion
- Operate discrete operations as part of larger process flow

What you'll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- A High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 experience in the mining, heavy equipment & electricalbackground
- Candidates must demonstrate a safety conscious approach to work and a proven ability to operate independently and in small multi-discipline teams
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.)
- Mining industry experience would be an asset
- Electrical Journeyperson Certification is preferred but not required

Where you'll be working
Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter, and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
