About the Opportunity

The Measurement Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining liquid metering equipment on SWD facilities, processing piping, and pump stations. Other responsibilities include ensuring our measurement equipment is being installed up to company standards and is working correctly. Technicians answer trouble calls and/or coordinating the correct contractor for the job to get the issue resolved.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Enforce all company safety and environmental policies while contributing to a Safety First working culture.
  • Effectively communicate and work well with other coworkers.
  • Install, operate, troubleshoot & maintain metering equipment throughout the Delaware/Permian Basin according to company and industry standards.
  • Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to measurement.
  • Verify or witness meter calibrations as needed, by internal or third-party contractors.
  • Understand water hydraulics and system gain/loss processes.
  • Collect liquid quality samples for analysis as needed.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Actively participate in additional training.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the business.


Skills & Experience:

  • Clean driving record, background check.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in oil/gas measurement operations or related experience with metering as well as understanding of electronic flow meters.
  • Requires advanced experience with metering principles.
  • Candidate must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently.
