An Annapolis law firm is seeking a temporary paralegal with T&E experience to join their team from late May/early June through August during an employee maternity leave. Estate planning experience is ideal. The role is fully in person M-F 8:30-5:00 with one hour for lunch.
Status: Temporary
Salary: $25-33/hour DOE
What You'll Do:
- Provide comprehensive practice support and case management to Estates and Trust practice
- Draft and proofread correspondence, notices, documents and forms (ie. wills, POA, advance directives etc).
- Conduct research, as needed
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and deadlines
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries and financial institutions regarding estate and trust matters
- Review bank statements and maintain accountings
- Organize and electronically file documents in various courts and jurisdictions
- Notarize documents, as needed
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3-5+ years Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate experience
- Experience with estate tax returns, a plus
- Accounting experience, a plus
- The ability to independently and efficiently prioritize workflow
- Superior organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience e-filing documents
- Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and client service skills
