Position Overview
The Diesel/CNG Maintenance Shop Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of one of the company's maintenance facilities, which maintain our fleet of 1,000+ trucks. Responsibilities include assigning and monitoring maintenance work on Diesel/CNG trucks and heavy equipment, minimizing equipment downtime and repair costs, and ensuring safe facility operations.
Position Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor maintenance work assignments to ensure maintenance and repairs minimize downtime and expense.
- Maintain parts inventories to expedite vehicle service and reduce overhead expense.
- Ensure all maintenance policies and records are accurate and compliant with all regulations.
- Mentor and develop maintenance team members to promote professional growth.
- Maintain a safe and orderly shop environment.
- Manage administrative matters including schedules, performance management, and absence requests.
Candidate Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience managing a maintenance facility for a fleet of 100+ trucks and 20+ maintenance team members.
- Thorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations.
- Advance knowledge of Diesel/ CNG equipment drivetrain, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in managing maintenance shop budgets.
