Position Summary:The Charge Nurse is part of the leadership team. The ChargeNurse is responsible for providing on site nursing service, supervision andperforming delegated administrative functions during a specific work shift. TheCharge Nurse is responsible for implementation of current standards of nursingcare and for interpreting hospital policy to the employees, patients, families,physicians, and various interested publics. An effective charge nurse needs toincorporate leadership and communication skills with conflict resolution, timemanagement and organizational techniques, delegation, mentorship, education,and role modeling to be successful. These individuals also must be effectivechange agents to get what they need accomplished on a day-to-day basis. Essential Job Duties: Charge nurses areaccountable to many people, first and foremost to the safety and care of the patients/familieson their units, the staff they lead and the institution that employs them. Butthey also must hold staff members (direct and indirect) accountable to providesafe and appropriate care. Innovative, leaders are the change and are problemsolvers. Charge nurses enable colleagues to act by strengthening others throughteamwork, encouragement, and empowerment. Charge nurses model the way with professionalismand dedication and set an example for others to follow. Qualifications:Washington State RN License. Previous experience Med/Surg,Emergency room and Charge. REQUIRED:

Shift: Day Shift: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm; 12 hour shifts. This is per diem only with a guarantee of 12-hours per week, but with a potential of up to 36-hours per week. The days needed will vary from week to week. Call time will be $10/hour.
