  • Build features in the print and digital CMS environments
  • Other duties as needed

What you'll offer

  • A sophisticated understanding of the elements of effective magazine storytelling
  • Existing relationships with best-in-class feature writers in the areas of science/tech, sports, fitness, and general interest
  • A commitment to journalistic ethics and standards and experience with legally sensitive stories
  • An ability to articulate feedback to writers and other contributors with clarity and sensitivity
  • An ability and willingness to be flexible in a deadline-driven work environment, to adapt to strategy changes, and to take on new challenges when the need and opportunity arises
  • A strategic mindset and experience with hitting strategy goals, as well as an ability and willingness to use data to inform creative decisions
  • A flair for impactful display copy, and an obsession with story structure
  • An endless supply of ideas
  • An innate curiosity for how the world works and an affinity for running and/or cycling (preferred but not required)
  • A bachelor's degree in English, liberal arts, journalism, or a related field

NOTE: For consideration, resumes must be submitted in PDF format with a cover letter, salary requirements, and a link to a portfolio of work.
