POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of closed loans to investors, coordinating with warehouse banks for note release, and managing conditions clearance to facilitate loan purchases within established time frames.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate the shipping of closed loan packages to investors according to prescribed guidelines and deadlines
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of loan files and documentation prior to shipment
  • Communicate with warehouse banks to obtain timely release of notes and collateral for closed loans
  • Monitor loan purchase conditions and work collaboratively with internal teams and investors to clear outstanding conditions promptly
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to loan shipments, note releases, and purchase conditions clearance
  • Proactively identify and address any issues or discrepancies that may impact the timely purchase of loans
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including processing, underwriting, and closing teams, to resolve post-closing issues and expedite loan purchases
  • Stay abreast of investor guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices related to loan shipping and purchase processes
Qualifications

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience in mortgage insurance, loan servicing, or post-closing operations preferred
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, and other government loan programs and their insurance requirements preferred
  • Familiarity with mortgage documentation and regulatory requirements preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply investor guidelines and regulatory requirements accurately
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suit Must have a valid driver's license and successfully pass a background check
  • College Degree preferred
  • Additional training or certifications in mortgage processing or related field a plus
