**Desktop Support Specialist - HD1221** Sanders Brothers Construction is currently seeking a Desktop & Application Support Specialist to support of 150 end users that use a variety of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Additionally, the specialist will support the Companys ERP users to maximize software/system functionality. This will be a full-time position located at our main office in North Charleston South Carolina.
**Role and Responsibilities:**
* Create reports of moderate to complex difficulty in SSRS and Crystal reporting for VISTA
* SQL database management and knowledge of performing routine software updates
* Troubleshoot existing reports and queries in VISTA
* Ensure successful daily user operations by responding to incidents, troubleshooting desktop issues, performing diagnostic testing and resolving desktop inquiries
* Monitor system changes, understand impact to end users and perform hardware and/or software installations and updates to desktop and/or laptop computers
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT procedures by identifying opportunities for improvement
* Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
* Strong customer service skills, including the ability to listen, interpret and explain computer related concepts in non-technical terms
* Strong troubleshooting skills in an enterprise environment and the ability to multi-task
* Strong knowledge of current operating systems and software products
* Responsible for installation and maintenance of computers, tablets, mobile phones, applications and related technologies
* Responsible for end user support
* Troubleshoot and replace hardware, hard drives, memory, and other networking peripherals. Install operating systems, reload, desktops and notebooks
**Preferred Experience:**
* 3-5 years of experience supporting Windows 10 operating systems
* 3-5 years of experience supporting Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 operating systems
* 1-2 years of Customer Service/Technical Support
* 1-2 years of SSRS/Crystal report writing experience (preferred)
* Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
* Microsoft Office expert exchange setup
* Active Directory/Domain oriented environment experience
**Educational Requirements:**
* AA/AS in information technology (preferred)
* Industry specific certifications (preferred)
