**Duties:**

100 Perform temporary service functions in support of the department. Essential

The relief cook will have some regular hours each week but will also be called upon when full time staff are ill or on leave. This position is hired on an as-needed basis only.

**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:**

Must have up to date food handlers permit. Possess knowledge of all aspects of food handling and preparation, food safety and basic cooking skills.

**TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:**

Must have experience working in rural Alaska.

Preferred 1 year experience working with college students or young adults. Preferred dorm life experience.

**REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:**

Valid Drivers license and food handlers permit.

This position salary is as follows, Temp salary scale Grade 72 ($15.63/hr) which includes a 38% geographic differential.
